Child screaming for his mother,
The call so intense, it breaks my heart.
Home broken, family now perished,
Alone he cries for someone.
No name, he’s known as himself,
A shadow sitting in the darkness.
Clawed between two worlds,
Hidden behind a barrier.
Noway out, unless you want to
Be shot to your death.
No siblings to play with,
They look the plunge; lives were taken.
Little food, dying of hunger,
He wants to be the one to set them free.
Shouting for justice, his voice to be heard
And accounted for.
So small, but he has a point,
Why keep him behind the fence?
