Every time I close my eyes I see you.
The memory of you will never leave me alone.
I'm glad you can't see what you're doing to me,
cuz I'd never want to hurt you like that.
I cry a little more for you every day and every night.
Yet in my heart I know that's not what you'd want.
You'd want me to move on; and to forget about you forever.
But I can't. I've tried and I've failed, again and again.
