The Umpire

by lisa marie   Sep 7, 2005

People waitng and observing
And listening to every single thing
One guy is saying
And when he calls out ball
They're cheering him on
But when he calls strike
All hell breaks loose
Arguments surround him,
And his long brown hair
Nobody knows who he is,
Or where his brown eyes are from.
Because that guy behind the mask,
Is really me.

--For those of you who don't understand, it is basically a metaphor for how i feel. I feel like people hate you once you disagree with them even if you are right and even if they have no idea who you are.

Interesting, I like how you played that out. I'll be honest I didn't see the last line coming. It threw me for a curve.Nice.
