Anarchist

by Emma Carnage   Sep 8, 2005

I can’t see what I’m saying
Try to understand the words I speak
To induce free thought is a sin
Follow the leader off the cliff
“Mother may I” with a twist

Freedom of speech
How is it legal to ban books?
Arrested for cussing at a cop
Detention for refusing to say the Pledge
Doesn’t protect what you want to hear
Protects the words you hate

Stand behind these words
Or oppose what I say
You can’t do a thing
Because freedom of speech
Let’s me say what I say

I do not trust the government
I don’t believe what they tell us
Or rather what they don’t
They’re so close minded
They force it on those around us

Society is a religion
With fashion as the God
Perfect skin and teeth are holy
Fat is the devil
Faith is so strong in people

All the words I say
Are my own beliefs
I do not like our society
Or the laws we create
I do oppose the government
I am not an anarchist

Hmm, this is hard to place a title to! Good work, though, 5/5. Maybe "Society is Religion" or "Freedom Speaking"? Or wait for something better, lol.
