Uncollected

by BreatheNoMore   Sep 8, 2005

I flash a ray of uncollected thought
Blazing through the cold unsheltered opaque of night
Specs of dust flicker in and out
Of coexistence with the light

Waiting for a sound to touch me
To take me into anything
And steel sanity one thread at a time

Encapsulated in a cocoon of failure
Passenger to a dull and passive state
I am to remain inside until the time is right
Crystallized in a silken seclusion
I start to believe that I will never fly

I float out of mind
Searching for the light
That hastily left me behind
Dissolving into the shadows of the world that rests amid me
Reaching for the silhouette of a girl
To synthesize our broken melodies

Lines coalesce but are never permanent
Drop by drop she devours then feeds my grief
As each fluent sphere
Streams from the broken portals that hold back everything
