Darkness calls me
Playing with my mind
This time you won't win
I'm no longer blind
I'm too strong for you
Your chance has gone
This time I'll fight
Until you're done
You were there
In my darkest hour
I came so close
To dying by your power
Those days are done
My life is bright
The sun shines down
I won my fight
Life is hard
Tries to make you fall
One day you'll look
And see you beat it all
I can't stop myself from smiling
When I think of how I used to be
And look into the mirror
I can't believe the change in me
I love the person
I have become
I'm happy now
And feeling strong
So my message to the darkness
Is, I know you're always there
You act as a reminder
To handle me with care
I am strong and happy
But fragile to
I walk a fine like
Like most of us do

    I like this poem a lot, it shows recognition of the darker side of life, but also gives hope to those experiencing it. I'm glad you were able to fight your darkness and inspire others to do the same.
