Over time,
We've grown apart,
Pulled away,
Changed our intentions

Since last year,
our taste has changed,
We've increased our distance,
altered our interests,

In my mind,
your face has changed,
our strings have loosened,
we are distanced,

In my heart,
I can't seem to give up,
I can't turn away,
i can't replace you,

I our world,
we laugh and joke,
we state the obvious,
and enjoy simplicity,

But when we come back,
We see that i am Me,
and you are You,
We are no We,

In the past,
we were peas in a pod,
we were tied together,
by emotions so strong,

And sometimes i wonder,
if I'm choosing this emptiness,
If your feeling this coldness,
If i'm lost in the crowd
