Loved Eagle

by k i k i   Sep 11, 2005

Eagle soaring before my eyes,
Flying into the unknown under the night sky.
Fine looking, golden wings flapping,
Eyes boggled, ready for this journey.
Feeling the rush of wind through my hair,
Thrills of leaving my nest, my home.

Mum and Dad, back at home,
Taking care of things that I left behind me.
I'm still left with the impact though,
Scars that are imbedded into my thin skin.
Child at heart, all I want is to discover myself,
And shine like I did once before.

Not going to turn my back on,
Why I wanted to leave.
I'm on a mission to kill the old me,
Start fresh, all vibrant.
I will always know where I belong,
My nest, home, where I'm loved.
