September- Twins

by k i k i   Sep 11, 2005

Building falls on the innocent,
Workers making this city work to function.
Not in time to hear the call,
From loved wives and husbands.
Families broken, shattered,
Have to realise, it's not their fault.

Wrong time, wrong place,
Just trying to get work done.
Lights out, power failure,
Nothing out of the normal.
Plane hit, crash into one storey,
Rest goes down in flames.

Twins of the high world,
Now laid to rest.
Amoung with thousands of others,
Left to wither in the foundation of their country.
Graves walked upon,
Tears fall, why did they cry?

Memory living on,
Lives remembered, never forgotten.
Dust covering the streets,
Blood and glass smeared over the roads.
Heroes of saving, they did what they could,
Courage, just not enough.

No one's safe from attack,
You and everyone, me.
Re-built city,
New and flash with flowers growing.
Roots of new lives, ones that were lost,
They will come back.

Catch the devil at his work.
