My Teasured

by Libby   Sep 11, 2005

Though I long to tell you
And have you welcome me
Into your accepting arms
I run the risk of you
Turning your back on my love
And affirming what I know is true

You are straight
And don't see me that way
So why take that risk
Of destroying what we have

I treasure our friendship
Each time you smile
Each time you laugh with me
I think it's meant to be this way
And I take a vow
To never end this with intent
I pray to the heavens
That nothing comes between us

I know after we part
I'll never forget to remember you
I hope you'll look back on this time
To remember my face
And what I meant to you
Though it could never compare
To what you mean to me.
