Falling In Love

There was a time in my life,
When I remember thinking that nobody would want to be with me.
I pictured my perfect boyfriend,
What he would look like, how he would act.
Spending many nights wishing upon stars,
Praying that one day soon we'll finally meet.
Meeting a guy,
Finally taking an interest in me,
We went out for a while but he broke my heart.
My life in pieces,
Feeling so used, my heart shattered and broken like glass.
Then, like a fairytale, a story began.
I met a guy outside a supermarket,
And instantly I began to fall.
My heart pounding, butterflies inside,
This was the guy I had pictured in my dreams,
Only, so much better than I could have ever dreamed.
"He's the one for you" a thought told me,
And something inside told me we'd be together for years to come.
Months after our first meeting,
We laid on your bed as you held me tight.
You looked in to my eyes,
"I love you" you said so sincere.
Oh, how much I wanted to say "I love you too",
But the words I were unable to speak.
Feeling afraid of these feelings I had been feeling for months on end,
Was this what people call love?
Unsure of what you had said was true,
But you sounded so sincere,
Maybe you did mean the words you had just said.
Meeting you a few days later,
You said "I love you" once more,
Instead of running away, not knowing what to say,
"I love you too" my mouth says.
I couldn't hold it in any longer,
I just wanted you to know,
That you were, you are, the guy I adore.
This story still happening,
As I continue to fall more in love with the guy I feel I belong with.
We continue to reach another chapter of this story,
As day by day, our love continues to grow.
