September 9/11

~*Much love and respect to all the victims and those in New York that had to go through that ******** it shouldn't of happened to you or anyone. I know it's a little long but seriously I had to cut like half of it off*~

Daddy why weren't you there
To pick me up after school
Why did I have to sit in the office
And teacher was crying like a fool

Hurry up Daddy
I want to go home
We'll do our daily routine
Father daughter time alone

We can eat our afternoon snack
And then our afternoon cartoons
I'll sit on your lap to watch
We'll laugh like baboons

It's getting kind of late Daddy
Everyone has left the school
Why do the parents look so grim
They all look like a fool

Ya my teacher is here
She brings me to her room
She's says you aren't picking me up
Mommy will come pretty soon

I guess you're working late Daddy
Or maybe you're in a traffic jam
I know you wouldn't leave me here
You're too good of a man

Teacher tries to explain to me
That Mommy might be crying
She doesn't tell me why though
So I'm pretty sure she's lying

I look out the window
And all I see is smoke
I ask my teacher why
She tries but soon just croaks

Mommy's at the door now
Her face looks so sad
She scoops me up and holds me
I feel so very bad

Daddy I'm getting mad
I think Mommy needs you
I'm just a kid Daddy
Is there something you can do

Mommy says you're gone
A business trip maybe
But why didn't you tell us
Why'd you leave your wife and baby

Mommy's scaring me
Your not coming back
I'm so confused Daddy
I fall down with a thwack

I'm running now Dad
Out the door, down the hall
Running super fast
I'm surprised that I don't fall

I burst through the doors
And I stand there in awe
Fire lots of smoke
Daddy I'm so shocked

A police officer says to me
' Girl where's your Mom or Dad '
I reply ' Daddy's gone '
Oh my she looks so sad

Running back to Mommy
I scream ' I want to go home! '
I'm so confused Daddy
Can't I just be alone

We're standing at your grave
I finally realize that you're dead
Crying I say ' I love you Daddy, Bye '
Then the pain comes to my head

I miss our afternoon snacks
Cartoons just aren't fun anymore
Mommy tries so hard
Pretending is just a bore

I try to ignore
Fathers and daughters in public
But I really miss my Daddy
Thinking about it makes me sick

I'm doing ballet still Dad
Because you said I'm your star
I learned to swim this summer
But I can't go very far

When I die I'll come find you
In heaven alright
I'll come with Mommy I promise
I can't wait until that day

I have to go Daddy
I love you and I'll cry
Your the best Daddy ever
I love you but goodbye
