What can you do
To mend a broken heart?
Stitches won't hold
When a heart is too heavy
To hold together.

What can you do
To mend a broken heart?
No love is enough
To fill the hole he left
When he took his love away.

What can you do
To mend a broken heart?
When even simple bruises
Won't heal themselves
After two years.

What can you do
To mend a broken heart?
Sew it together
With a thread of lies
And tell yourself you're moving on.

What can you do
To mend a broken heart?
Fill it to the brim
With shallow relationships
And tell yourself it's the same.

What can you do
To mend a broken heart?
But wait for it to heal
Suffer through the lonely nights
And the pain of lost love.
