ThE first we met

by Hans Fausto   Sep 12, 2005

Close your eyes
lend me your hand
dont let go
for this night will stand

its the first time we met
first i heard beauty
its the first i heard your voice
wonderful and truly

its like sitting on the beach
waiting for the waves to crash
watching the endless stars in silence
as they twinkle and flash

but as it was my turn to sing
i felt a shiver in my spine
for i wanted to impress you
i wanted your heart to be mine

although i doubt that will happen
id still love to hear your voice
how it rings in my ear
how it puts up my poise

it will be an eternal melody
which will forever inspire
my mind, my soul
like a spark to a fire

and so this i wont forget
ill place it in my mind
the first we met
the night you sang
