Halls of Highschool

by SethM   Sep 12, 2005

I walk through the halls
I pass you everyday
I try to smile but
You just a stone face my way

I wonder what's wrong
Remember the summer
We'd play in the lake all day
Then we'd go to the D.Q.

I remember those happy days
And hope they're not gone
Jenna and Matt's summer romance
I admit that it's my fault

I continue to look around
Looking for a smile
In this place so dark and grim
I won't find one in a while

Has this place
Turned your love to hate?
Will we really be this sad?
I guess this is our fate

But then I see some hope
McKenzie headed my way
I smile bigger than ever
Just to see her turn away

This life sucks
I whisper quietly
Headed to lunch
Where I'll tear this page violently
