Memories Lost

From the past, no future,
There's nothing ahead.
Memories are all that I have,
They're all that I share.
Gone, never forgotten,
That smile always in my heart.

Pictures, thoughts
Always in my mind of the times we shared.
Laughter, fun times that we had,
Sadness, the passing of a friend.
Time takes its toll on the memories,
Will they ever fade away?

Old opportunities, your goals
Will never be taken hold of.
Only I can imagine, how you would be
Today, the way you looked, smiled at me.
My tears, guarding ever growing fears,
A fear of losing everything I have.

Memories, all hope is gone.
