TEAPOTS AND DREAMS

by Gary Jurechka   Sep 13, 2005

If we were together
comfortable in a life that
we once wished for those days
in the bakery when
our eyes couldn't be torn away from each other and
we couldn't stop smiling
overcome by the feelings within,
an unbearable burning, a sweet lightness,
and if we were now together,
I'd lay in our bed
watching you,
beautiful in the moon's glow as you sleep,
watching you,
remembering back when we met
you used to collect
teapots and dreams.
