Path

The path of friendship,
A long time waiting.
True friends, they take time to grow,
Heaps of trust and care is needed.
The path needs time to build,
Unbreakable, able to last the tough road ahead.

Building the walls of trust,
A challenge in itself.
Trust, why is it so rare?
But the foundation for this to last.
Deep blocks building up the tower,
You'll pick me up if ever I fall.

Floor of freedom,
Ability to be friends, while giving,
The chance to free yourself
And be you.
Let worries and pain erase from your mind,
Start fresh, a new beginning with you to help.

Bricks of ears,
Ready to listen, eager to learn.
Listen to the love and hatrid,
This young girl hide inside.
She needs someone to support her,
You're the one.

Full of trust, freedom and
Ready to listen and help.
Caring for the path,
So indeed it will last, the haul ahead.
Over the years, bricks will crumble,
But it doesn't mean the friendship will.

We're strong enough to last,
You and me.
Friends forever we will be,
Laughing and jokes; crying at our fears.
Built with loving care,
We will stand the test of time.
