I Wont Let Him See

by Ixora   Sep 13, 2005

The candle is bleeding
Slowly falling down
But hidden is its pain
Beneath the fire’s gown

Never will they see
What is truly going on
Until the flame dies
When the mystery is gone

Crimson in the dark it lays
A shadow now seen dead
Open scars along its body
Slowly sown with thread

If you were to break it
Yet again in two
You would see a message
Written, “I Love You”

Though he has already left
With no blood shed in her fire
He left the meaningless memories
And emotions of desire

Begging, crimson and bruised
On hands and knees at feet
The angel who once caught her
Has now thrown her to concrete

Once again she’s hurt and hateful
And once again she’ll fall
Only to look down so he won’t see
When he walks by her in the hall…
