The World Against Her

Everytime
She steps out of her safe place
All the names
Comments
Looks
Or there lack of
Force her back
In sadness
And in fear
Fear of what happens
When she is herself
The cold harsh world
Turning against her
After that day
That one day
When she was
Truthful
Accepting
Herself
That one day
When she took off the fake
To live HER life
That day
Began it
Now When she shows
Her now scarred
Hated
Scared face
The world drives her there
In that place
That place where she
Contemplates
Decides
And soon
Dies
After that one day
The beatings
Weekly
The Names
Daily
The looks
Hourly
And when she goes to that one place
She replays the day in her mind
The names
looks
beatings
Are amplified
The now seem ten times worse
Now since that one day
The world
Seems to say
"We don't want you anymore
Fake is what we want"
Now there she is
With that bottle of sleeping pills
Every pill
Represents a
different name
different look
different time she was emotionally or physically hurt
Every pill in that bottle
Is pain
And now for her it is relief
Once every
single
one
Of those pills
Is swallowed
And she is in the eternal sleep
The ones slowly murdering her
Driving her to this terrible act
Will regret what they did
Just like she wanted them to
But she wont be around
To see their
regret
tears
crys for forgiveness
She wont see any of it
She took the only permanent exit
Its a one way street
And once you get on it
Theres no U-turns
Once you totally give up on everything
On your life
And you end it
You cant plug it back in it
When she swallowed all those pills
She didn't see the good
The ones that didn't make fun of her
The people that loved her
She didn't see them because
In her life
The evil was stronger
bigger than the good
Maybe if she stuck around
Just a few days longer
She would've seen
just a glimpse of hope
Maybe even a reason to live
But shes gone now
Forever
Once the world turned against her
She never saw it loving her again
She gave up on it
And left
forever
