For the Moment

by dandy   Sep 14, 2005

Sorry folks, not one of my better poems :-/

My mind it always enters,
in my heart it does reside.
The day you left my love did flow
out to you in tears I cried.

Waiting for the moment,
when that one dream becomes the truth.
So true a love they say is false;
A trick of the mind's naive youth.

Say what those mouths might;
Whispers of hidden doubt.
Little do they know, love grows stronger
when the homesick heart is without.

From me you did leave,
though to me you will return
to ignite the fire that has gone out;
Only you can make it burn.

Waiting to see your face,
to hold your hand again.
Perhaps it will be just you and me,
if, then, and only when.....we are alone.

Living for the moment,
when that one dream becomes real.
Only then will we be united;
No longer will we have to conceal.

    Even though it may seem a while, when we get there, it wont seem as long, Even though each day is a struggle, there is a reward at the end.

    Love You!!!!!!
