A Lonely Tear

by DeAnna   Sep 14, 2005

A lonely tear falls
As through the window she stares.
A little girl all alone
Feeling nothing but pain
Her home is gone,
And her family, too
She’s alone in the world,
And knows not what to do
Her father left years ago.
He went without say.
And her mother was forever gone
When she got washed away
With her whole family take by the storm
Nothing will remain
All she has now is her lonely tear
And she’s left with nothing but pain
Her dreams are all gone
As a lonely tear falls
The wind has blown away
Each of her freshly built walls.
Lonely tears are falling
From millions of eyes
As rain continues to pour
From the dark and stormy skies
Lonely tears are falling
For all that is lost and never to be found
This lonely girl has nothing
Only her bed as the ground
Her toys are all gone
Along with everything she once owned
Her family and loved ones are lost
And she’s never been more alone
A lonely tear travels
From her swollen eyes down her cheek
Fro her terrible hunger
Is making her so weak
She longs for someone
To hold her in their arms.
She's looking for someone
Who will protect her from lifes harms.
She needs someone to take her home,
And destroy her every fear.
She's in need of someone to go to
To dry her lonely tear.
