From a far, there was happiness
Laughter and light,
But as you got closer it disappeared,
No happiness, no laughter, no light,
As you dug deeper for the truth,
It all became clear
And then a dim light appeared,
As we grew together, so did it,
Brightening through our time spent together,
Soon there was laughter and then true happiness,
All the pain, fear and emptiness gone,
The past now meaningless,
Our present beautiful,
And our future loving.
