Letting Go

It's so cold, I can't feel,
I can't tell if it's real,
Your heart doesn't know me,
And that leaves me lonely.

You never listened to my voice,
I was too shy to approach,
Now I don't have a choice,
So I have to let go.

My world turns so dark,
My mind, my heart.
There are no tears in my eyes,
So, am I living a lie?

There is no wound,
That's why I'm confused.
This shouldn't hurt,
So, why am I so blue?

I don't think we'll be together,
That may be for the better.
I wish you were forgotten,
So I wouldn't lay broken.

I can't let go how I feel,
It is harder than it seems.
So I'll pretend that I did,
And just write things like this.
