My bestest dearest friend

by Xxs0phxX   Sep 15, 2005

I watch her as she sleeps
My bestest dearest friend
I watch her as she wakes
To her broken heart I will tend
She says goodbye to her family
And sinks into the chair
My bestest dearest friend
So Special, kind and fair
She gently closes her eyes
And wishes not to be
My bestest dearest friend
Longs only to be free
As she begins to wonder
A single tear runs down her cheek
My bestest dearest friend
Where is the relief that she does seek?
A very clouded judgment
She doesn't know just what to do
My bestest dearest friend
I'm always here for you

That's sweet, usually I don't like repetitive lines, but it just fit into your poem so perfectly. She's lucky to have a friend like you.
