The Dark

Again my eyes open
I cant get them to shut
Another sleepless night
Before my final cut

The sun is still asleep
So why am i awake
I cant stand this no longer
How much more pain can i take

I hate the way i feel
Lying in this dark
My eyes wide open
My mind falling apart

I get into my bag
And take out just one
Try to close my eyes
And wait for the sun

Still waiting, Cant sleep
Get one more, close my eyes
I wanna dream
It's not a big surprise

The sun is waking up
I grab 10 more
I breathe in real deep
And go and shut my door

As i lie upon my bed
My eyes begin to close
I begin to dream
Where i go nobody knows

As i begin to fall asleep
I say my last goodbyes
Theres a smile on my face
Finally i close my eyes.
