Propaganda

I don't care how I manipulate the truth;
As long as it distorts and creates biased views.
My first objective is to reach the youth
It only takes one simple word or a clever line,
Visual cocaine that challenges your mind.
My goal is to get the results I need;
And swirl the masses into a violent frenzy.
Whether it's the air waves or ink in a magazine,
A block of text across your computer screen..
Twist perceptions and turn friends into foes,
Shaping their morals, my finger prints are right under each nose.
I don't care who gets killed or who gets maimed,
As long as there's a dirty dollar to be made,
'Till there's no black or white just a putrid shade of grey.
Lend me your eyes and then your ears,
Dilute comprehension through smoke and mirrors.
"Divide" governments and send your children to war,
Is it an accident all the protesters were ignored?
Ever wonder what the body count is really for?
I sponsor those newspapers and fund every newscast;
Come and worship me at my daily mass.
There's really no limit to who and what I control;
Once I own your mind I'll feast on your soul.
Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear;
'Cause it's my rationale that reaches your ears;
That'll either deepen your fear or reduce you to tears;
Just wait till you read the next headline which appears,
I'll be laughing and scheming for the rest of the year.
It's all fiction, contrived, and counterfeit,
Who do you think is really writing the script?
I'll toast your every misery
This is the madness which writes history.
...as long as I own your mind--first it will be your eyes.
.......I will own your mind--then it will be your ears.
.........NOW I OWN YOUR MIND.
