Is This The End?

Since I was a little girl, learning right from wrong,
I've always looked up to you.
Always there, caring and encouraging me,
To achieve high, and that I could be anything I wanted.
Set my mind to reach the stars above,
You treasured me, and the friendship.

Over the years,
We became closer, you knew me too well.
Strengths, and when I had my bad days,
You always knew how to cheer me up.
I'd tell you everything,
You knew that I was grateful.

Dreadful day arrived,
The day our hands parted, now gone.
Yet our hearts still thinking,
Caring about each other.
Crying, saying I'd miss you,
I didn't want to leave you, this place.

When I achieve something,
I think of the times of you and me.
You gave me so much happiness,
Determination, that I was a good kid.
Helped me to be who I wanted to be,
An individual; living to the full.

Is this end?
I don't want to fall back.
Confident, young lady
Making a stand in this world.
Still thinking of you, missing
The times that we laughed.

Still, the bond, it glues us together.
Forever.
