We are but two roses

by Avrii Monrielle   Sep 16, 2005

We are but two roses
Pushed away by time
Our petals falling, nothing left to cover our souls
If there was something to hold on to,we would reach
We are but two roses
Two souls
Two minds
Two hearts
We are but two roses
That grew up in the same bush
Battled our own thorns
Grew so the sun could touch our faces
So we could be caressed by life's tender thoughts
We grew so fast, time's rich soil bound our roots
The rain watered us
As we stood untouched by gentleness
We should have turned wild
But no,
We stood our ground
And we lived
To this day
Forever strong
Forever survivors
The fact still remains that
We are but two roses
