Nowhere

by Maria   Sep 16, 2005

It was a dark shadow; as I stared down, and everything seemed like it was nothing.
No sound came from the trees, or wind as it blew.
I looked up wondering where I could go. Folding my arms closer to my chest; trying to keep warmth. I was alone, It took them. Picturing the horrible terror in my mind over and over.
Why? Why must it happen? They were only teens, and my life.
Now, they're gone. I look around again, this is where it happened. We were all having fun as we walked to the middle of nowhere. I knew this wouldn't turn out as planned.
We carried bottles of liquor in our hands acting like idiots. Knowing that if something were to happen there would be nothing we could do.
That wasn't exactly on their minds, as they continued to get s**faced.
I kept my liquor to a minimum.
We all decided that we were going to find a comfortable spot and sit down for about an hour to rest. As
we were walking, we lost one of the 4 of us. I noticed and mentioned it to the rest of them. They were to blazed to understand. I turned around, and there it stood right in
front of me. It was unexplainable.
I couldn't really tell what it was.
There weren't any lights, and the trees covered the moon. I froze and just the beat of my heart was moving. It came closer and as it came closer my heart beat faster and faster. I turned around and ran. Looking back I could see it killing them, blood everywhere, they were everywhere. Turning back to the front so I could tell
where I was going. Tears came falling down from my eyes. I was scared. I didn't know what to do. Running was the only thing I could do, but I was loosing my energy and shortly after, I stopped looked back nothing was there. It was
gone...so now, I look around...This is where it happened. Looking every direction as the seconds went by, I
felt a cold breeze on my neck leading down to my legs. I turn around, and looked into it's eyes, and the worst pain was running through my veins. I could feel warm liquid running from my back down toward the ground. I shiver as it all happens. Cold and weak. It kept on digging deeper into my flesh. It dropped me to the ground. Slowly, I could feel my body letting go. Now, I lie there facing the ground, waiting to die.
