Colours of my pain....

Bitterness sings the colours of my pain;
Loss, sorrow and hate meeting in refrain.
Skirling cries rise up and tarnish the day
As I bewail virtue - high price to pay.

Wild green of envy enticed my disgrace;
Coveting riches and a handsome face.
His siren song promised beauty and wealth,
Hiding the cruel truth of cunning and stealth.

A lament of yellow I\'ll chant all round
Until its vomit covers the cursed ground.
Jaundiced sight reflected in blinded eyes,
I faltered, frozen \'neath his stare and lies.

The red of my blood, a flower savaged;
Seeking true love, my innocence ravaged.
What now, the virgin\'s precious gift has flown?
In ululation, I mourn what I\'ve sown.

My thighs display purple bruises of rape;
The violence revealed under his cape.
Torment screams a chorus: \"I cannot cope,\"
And turns my longing towards knife or rope.

Black cloth I seek for the dirge to begin;
No shroud of white will cover the chagrin.
Please shield the truth of my naked despair,
If grief brings death as the only repair.
