A Year Ago Today

It just hit me that she's gone
I hurt so much inside
exactly a year ago
why did she have to die

she was my grandmother
and a good friend too
I wish that my last words to her
would have been "thank you"

she taught me some of life's
most important lessons
like to love everybody no matter what
and to always respect your elders

she always thought of other people
instead of herself
she was a wonderful women
different from everyone else

I really do miss her
but she's still here today
she will remain forever with us
and that's all I have to say
