His Role Model

by Dee   Sep 17, 2005

The man I married four years ago
Has always walked the line
I never had the warm, fuzzy feeling
Of a love so totally entwined

His best friend, a role model (for him) Showed his true colors
Busted for unfaithfulness
A two year affair with a significant other.

His wife and I have grown closer
Since our wedding day
She and I chat sometimes
We have so much to say

Love and life and children were not enough to take
The man had to walk away
Another he would partake.

He cheated on a woman
Who truly loved him so
And today she somehow questions
Why she should let him go.

He broke the bond between them
Left trust laying on the line
Was it really worth
A prostitute and a crime?

Although he makes good money
Does that substitute
A woman and a love affair
And sleazy prostitutes

We all think the man is great
But he has crossed the line
Deceiving quite a woman
Whose love is so divine

A woman who has loved him
Through many trials and tribulations
She stood right by him through much deliberation.

Why does he deserve her
In my opinion, he does not
She ought to kick him where it counts
And leave him drowning in his snot.

Is this a role model, my man follows his every step
Let him try to deceive me
I will fill his life with regret

Who wants to encounter
The behavior they unfold
Let them keep on dreaming
They will wake up lonely and alone

Keep on messing with the "hoes"
and covering each other lies
We will stand up to you
When we kiss your asses goodbye!!
