A trip to the beach

by Ewa   Sep 17, 2005

Whirlpools swirling
Twisting the currents
Around in circles
Waves crashing
On the seaboard
Barefoot walks
On the sand
Along the coastline
Sandals lost
Back by the towels
Searches for
The perfect seashells
Hard to find
Through the rubbles
Of the crushed
Ocean debris
Salt-stung eyes
And sandy sandwiches
Yet we all insist
To go back
Year after year
To these overcrowded places
To find the one day
That outshines the rest
