Tempers Flare.

by Steven Beesley   Sep 17, 2005

Exchange of words
Brutal expression of thought
Fire building deep within
So opinionated and so unforgiving?

The fuse has been lit
It is so short
See the smoke and the smouldering
So there will be a flash, a rather big clash

Tempers will ignite like dynamite
What ensues is a great big giant fight
Feelings all around are full of hate
Things never meaning to be said are said

As the room clears
What remains are bruised and sorry egos
No side has won in such a conflict
There is no way to win

So much damage has been done
Many insults have been exchanged
All this has been done for naught
Now they must all bear the consequences for why their tempers flare

In recollection, when all is again calm
Each party feels really there should have been no cause for such alarm
But it is way too late, all bridges have been burnt
Far too many people have been hurt!

Very well written. Captures the ego involved in most conflicts.
