Honey melted eyes

This is kinda long but please read...

Honey melted eyes
The guy I like but despise
You were nice and sweet
But not the style for me
I thought Id take advantage of you
Hey I had nothing to do

So I stuck by for the fake kisses
Friends with benefits they call it attachments for sissies
I thought we were just friends with nothing to lose
But turns out you had something to prove

You didn't just like me you loved me
A surprise I didn't know and I'm so sorry I didn't see
Cause once I got tired of fake kisses from you
I shoved you out and said the truth
I just want to be friends nothing more
I'm sorry I didn't notice I tore your heart and made it sore

Until you looked at me with those honey eyes
You said I know your not the commitment kind don't say lies
Your one night stands and fake kisses are tearing me apart
I did not know you were playing I even gave you my heart

Those words still echo in my mind
And now myself I can not even find
Now I try to talk to you but you turn away
I am sorry is all I want to say
Sometimes you look at me with those eyes
No longer do they have honey but hatred and despise

So this is for you
I guess this is the least I can do
I'm so sorry from the bottom of my soul
I hope you can forgive me and finally let go
Cause I have changed and want to go back together
I promise I wont hurt you, not anymore not ever

Cause now I feel something I never felt before
A yearning inside wanting more
A new rush I feel deep inside
Its love, and I hope I still have enough time
To say three words to you
I love you..

    I just want to be friends nothing more
    I'm sorry I didn't notice I tore your heart and made it sore
    I would shorten the second line to "I'm sorry i didn't notice that your heart i tore" Less syllables , so it enters the flow a little bit better .

    Those words still echo in my mind

    I love this part . It's so sad , and really almost flawless . But the rest of the poem seemed off flow in a lot of places .. And all your rhymes weren't really the best . It's simply fixed , all you have to do is really sit down and read it over . Good luck , 4/5 .

    AMAZING! I was first captured my the title and the poem was no dissapointment. The ending came as such a pleasant surprise. Loved it! *5/5*
