Wish you were here.

Majestic scenes of towering hills
and valleys running deep,
Narrow roads and winding paths
and precipices steep.
Rivers full and lochs reflecting
the sun's tremendous glare
I gazed in wonder at the sight
and wished that *** was there!

Rocks of red and grey and brown
all capped with gold and green,
Purple heather and clear blue sky
all compliment the scene.
God's colour scheme has glory
there's nothing to compare
I looked in awe and gave a sigh
- I wished that *** was there!

This picture - like a painting
by God's own hand I see
And wonder how the One who planned
could ever care for me
These scenes of grand and noble sights
caused me to stand and stare
But underneath my happy state
I wished that *** was there!

When admiring God's own canvas,
or hearing man-made song
I pause a while and ponder,
but oh! for *** I long
Alone by loch or lakeside,
it does not matter where
I'll look and listen and wonder
but wish that *** was there!
