Tears and Smiles

by Jemma   Sep 17, 2005

A golden tear drop from a silver eye
A metallic glint in the fading mist
A whisper of echoes, the light through the trees
One fain hope to exist

Lights in darkness
Puddles and pools
Apples in orchards
Lifeâ??s natureâ??s jewels

A tear drop is singing and slipping down
The wind is whistling casting about
The wetness of water on the morningâ??s grass
Refreshed and renewed from the drought

Long since heartbreak
Newly opened up
Lately from loves goblet you sup

But the tears of the past swell in you heart
The pain and the fury run wild
The blemish and blur of the tears
Erased where youâ??d have once smiled

A golden tear drop from a silver eye
A metallic glint in the fading mist
A whisper of echoes, the light through the trees
One fain hope to exist
