Hopelessness

You have always been better at the good-byes,
so much more then I.

I try to hang on to the past, remembering...
hoping...that someday you will come back.

Watching the sun rise across the mountains peaks,
starting off in hues of pink...

I am forced to face the world without you in my life.
I need you more then ever, you left me in strife.

The day slowly turns into night,
the moon comes out and shines so bright.

I rest my head on the pillow in my bed.
Tears roll down because my heart won't mend.

Stars twinkle in the dark sky,
as the cool wind rushes in...

I feel so lost, and hopeless with no one to turn to.
Wondering if I will ever make it through.

My entire world fell apart,
now i am left looking for the rest of my heart.
