Trust

by Misha   Sep 18, 2005

I don't like staring at a blank page,
Being unable to write,
Unable to convey everything that I feel.
The words just don't come out right,
To say what I really mean.
To say how much I care about you,
Without saying "I love you"
Without breaking down this wall,
That has kept me so safe.
To let everything that I have kept safe,
Be shared with you.
To allow you the chance to hurt me,
Like I have been hurt before.
I don't know you enough to trust you,
But something tells me I can.
To let you be the missing link,
In the chain of my life.
To let you be the glue that,
Holds my heart together.
To let you, complete me,
Like no one else can.
To be there for me always,
I don't know if I can.
It is very hard to think that,
Even for a second that I could,
Let anybody in.
But some how you're getting there.
Into my heart, into my soul.
So here is my heart,
You already have most of it.
Just please try and keep it safe,
It will take forever to repair,
Anymore damage that gets done to it.
I'm trusting you with this.
Please, just don't hurt me,
Don't break me,
Just love me like I love you.
