Changes

I caught you looking my way last night
But as soon as our eyes met
Your glance turned quickly to the floor
And you're body started to sweat

Do I make you that uncomfortable?
I'm sorry if I do,
Is there anything I can say to reverse it?
Because to be honest, I really love you.

Is it my forwardness that scares you away?
Cause everytime I speak, you leave
Should I change something about myself
Or am I being too naive?

I like looking into your eyes
I loose myself every time
But if it bothers you, I'll stop
I just didn't think it was a crime.

I like the person I am
Whenever I'm with you
But if you want me to be someone different
That's exactly what I'll do.

I'd do anything to make you happy
I hate to see you this way
So just name it and consider it done
Let's hope it makes everything okay

So, do you notice a difference?
Cause I am who you wanted me to be
But you're still distant and cold,
You still don't love me.

I changed everything about myself
From my appearence down to my laugh
It didn't change the way you felt
You cut me up and left me in half.

Now I can't even recognize myself
I'm quiet and insecure
I can't go back to the way I was
Because what that was, I'm not too sure.
