Crashing Through the Gray

by HOLLY ARMER   Sep 18, 2005

Sweeping curtain of doom
kill me now
Flowing, ebbing shock waves
damaging the gloom
Slowly taking me under
following the intensity
Until I've gone to depths
unknown even to me

Cradling myself wishing
for the swiftness of death
to lurk into view
and steal my shallow breath
Begging for an end
to my already unbearable life
Tattered with loneliness,
sorrow, and constant strife

Drifting into the dejected
recesses of my morbid mind
Beaten memories of affliction
are all that I find
Back into the darkness
crashing through the gray
As I'm left here alone
to live another day

Beautifully done. It was hauntingly real. It sounds like you have been there. Sometimes saddness and dispair takes over you soul. 5/5
