Hiding Away

by SmileeItsBritt   Sep 18, 2005

As the dawn approaches
And the birds they start to sing
I'll cover up all traces
Of the pain that's haunting me
I cover up with bracelets
So you don't see the scars
I try to hide the mistakes
From when breathing was so hard
Most of you are getting fooled
By this smile that I wear
I think that I should win an Emmy
For hiding my despair
So nest time you hug me
Next time you pass me by
Try to realize that I'm not OK
And you're believing all my lies
You call me your best friend
Can't you see I'm not the same?
While you think my tears have dried
I lie here drowning in my pain
