A single light flickers in the tiny room
The low humming of the heater can be heard
As I find myself staying with you again
Music gently plays from your computer

Lifes pain is gone; I could stay in this moment forever

Lying with your chin resting on my stomach
Your hands trace the curves of my body
Softly kissing my flesh with your lips
Your entrancing eyes gazing into mine
You whisper to me that I’m beautiful
Telling me that my body is perfect
You love my stomach, you think it’s cute
The scars you say, they don’t matter

Turning my head from you
I whisper back, “It’s not true”
With a pained look on your face you say,
“But for me it is…Why can’t you see,
In front of me this beautiful girl that is mine”
In my head I’m yelling, “Don’t lie to me,
I know the person that you see,
It’s the same one that faces me in the mirror”
