A Stolen Smile

by Adam Murphy   Sep 19, 2005

Broken heart
shattered fist
angry words
a slit wrist
empty eyes
dried up tears
discovered lies
realized fears
past mistakes
unheard words
raise the stakes
feelings blurred
a stolen smile
sadistic girl
no denial
rage unfurls
morals lost
a mind quite vexed
lines been crossed
the edge is next
looking down
black abyss
painful frown
poisonous kiss
all of this
goes back to her
her one mistake
her heart unsure
and I'm still stuck
in that place
of her confusion
frown on my face
take my hand
guide me back
say I'm someone
you cant lack
show me how
you really feel
let me know
so i can heal
dangling ego
dried up pride
cocky nature
seems to have died
a silent scream
a blackened sky
in frustration
the clouds cry
