Show me the way

by raven rose   Sep 19, 2005

THE WORDS USE TO FLOW LIKE A LONG WINDING RIVER
BUT NOW THEY ARE CROOKED AND BROKEN
TOUCH ME, I AM EMPTY INSIDE
LOOK THROUGH ME, I AM NOTHING BUT HOLLOW
SLOWLY THE PAIN SUBSIDES
AND I GROW NUMB
I AM SCREAMING INSIDE FOR HELP
SILENT SCREAMS OF SORROW
I AM YOUNG AND FOOLISH
I AM BLINDED BY MY OWN MISERY
TOO BLIND TO SEE THE WONDER
TOO BLIND TO SEE THE PATH IN FRONT OF ME
I AM TRYING TO STAY STRONG
BUT I FEEL AS IF LARGE ROCKS HAVE BEEN PLACED UPON MY SHOULDERS
WEIGHING ME DOWN
I CAN'T DO IT ALL ALONE
SOMEONE SHOW ME THE WAY.
