Your Love is a Drug

by Just Sierra   Sep 19, 2005

I drink up the memories
So much for staying clean
From the drug called love,
We say things we don't mean.

And from this drug, i confess
There is no addiction worse
I'm intoxicated permanently
So deep that it really hurts.

Your kiss is like a thousand knives
It's a paper cut on the lips.
And your fingers are so deadly
When placed upon my hips.

Your words are atomic bombs
They blow me from inside
I can't recooperate from this wound-
This intentional homicide.

Your blood is my poison.
So pure it makes me ill.
The smell, the touch, the sight
Your blood is my fatal pill.

Your eyes are two smoldering embers
They want me to just burn.
And everytime you invite me in,
I die in your concern.

Your smile is my nightmare
Does this not hurt anyone else?
Why aren't you falling to pieces,
And why am I doing this to myself?

Your touch is a neele
Sliding gently into my vein
And your love seeps in like heroin .
It overcomes the pain.

But when you say goodbye
Your love becomes a gun
And all the lethal drugs you are
Suddenly become one.

Your love is now a gun
And the bullet is why I died
I shouldn't have gotten caught in this-
This selfish suicide.

Your love was a deadly drug
But it kept me so alive.
And if you deprive me of this
I swear I won't survive.
