Gregory drake

It was that dreary night, a year ago
In the cottage by the lake
That there a servant whom you may know
By the name of Gregory drake
And this servant, he live with no other action
Than to serve or bake

He was a person, I was a person
In this cottage by the lake
But he served with a passion that was more than passion
I had hired this Gregory drake
With a passion that came from heaven
Pleased a bond that cannot brake

And this was so long ago
In this cottage by the lake
A wave splashed out of a waved
Chilling this Gregory drake
So that awful dude came
And took him with an ache
To take him to the doctor
In this cottage by the lake

The angles, crying there in heaven
Made a simple jealous mistake
Yes that was why
In this cottage by the lake
That a wave came and splashed
Killing the grateful Gregory drake

But the passion in his work, stronger than what was done
Of those who were deeper than thou ache
Or the animals weaker then thou ache
And thy angels, in thou great heaven
Nor the evil, in there awfulness under thou lake
Can ever replace the work this man has done
Of the wonderful Gregory drake

For the sun never shines without bringing me memories
Of that dear Gregory drake
And the stars never set, as I feel those mops scrubbing the floor
Of that hardworking Gregory drake
And so, all smallish waves, I lay down and sigh
Now I will have to was the windows because he had to die
And I set a beautiful reminder, a box I make
By his dear tomb by the side of the lake
