Hand Up

by k i k i   Sep 20, 2005

Come and past, never know any difference,
I never saw you smile anyway.
Lighting the fire, passing away into the dark,
Please, rescue me baby.
Rain falling from the skies,
Stars shining, hope, there’s none.

Memories arise from the ashes,
Wake me when the war’s over.
Child fed and clean, they have a future,
And no one has to suffer.
Loved ones are lost, but they will be
Remembered, flowers growing fast.

Ground building from foundations,
And the pavement of hope is under construction.
A new place, with no fear of being a target,
We can just be happy.
Travelling along the roads,
I have no fright; it will be fine.

Playing in the park, the sick becoming better,
Terror, come and past, but they will remember.
Minds thinking, 20 years, where would they be?
No father, no mother, alone to be free.
Love no more, a stranger, their only hope,
I want to help me, like they would for me.

Put up you hand, save them from poverty.
