Independence

by Sam   Sep 20, 2005

You talk about independece,
How you differ from the norm.
Believing you have a heart of gold
So caring and so warm.
Stupid me,
I bought what you were selling.
I had no idea
That it was all lies you were telling.
You had me going for awhile
Maybe it took awhile but,
I figured you all out.
You'd stab me in the back
To cover up your own.
Pretending nothing happened,
Leaving me wounded and alone.
You went to other people
None of them lasted long.
Right back to me you'd come
With no idea what you did wrong.
